Oil Painter

Virtually self-taught, I have drawn all my life but got into painting in the last 30 years.  I am a qualified Signwriter/Ticketwriter and Interior Decorator.   I have done many workshops with well-known  Australian artists, but that is the extent of my art schooling.

I have been teaching Art in a studio attached to my house for the past 21 years. I paint and teach in Acrylics, Pastels and Genesis Oils. I  have sold many paintings in private collections in America, England, New Zealand, Hong Kong and throughout Australia,  and  have won several Awards in exhibitions throughout NSW. In 2009 I was a finalist in The Waterhouse Natural History Art Prize in South Australia.

Although I can paint anything, I prefer realism in my paintings.  I have a passion for painting animals , both wild and pets, as well as portraits and have done many commissioned works throughout Australia.
