Aunty Kath Withers is a well known and widely admired Aboriginal artist. Aunty Kath’s works have been collected by the National Gallery of Australia, Museum of Victoria, Wagga Wagga Art Gallery, Australia Museum and in various national and international private collections.
Aunty Kath "I am a proud Wiradjuri Elder. My first passion is my weaving, and sharing the story of my Sister Baskets. My weaving takes me on special journeys to places of my Wiradjuri Country. Spending time with my family collecting the native grasses, barks and roots for dyeing the fibres is a process that I enjoy and enjoy handing down the skill to the younger generations."
